Greater impact than expected
The ear is our gateway to the world. An increasing number of people, however, suffer of hearing impairment as a result of noise and age-related wear. Hearing loss has an effect on everyone. Those directly affected increasingly lack confidence in the company of others. This insidious process often puts a strain on relations with family members and friends. But age-related hearing loss is perfectly normal. It is estimated that around the world 35% of people over the age of sixty no longer have good hearing.
